Holiday greetings from the NJ JCI Senate! We just returned from our annual holiday party at the
Friedlander's home in Absecon and everyone had a great time. A special thank you to Bob and Helen for opening their home to
us and hosting the event. They even arranged for a coating of snow that added to the Holiday spirit! The highlight of the
evening was the presentation of a Senatorship to our newest NJ JCI Senator - Reggie Slaten #68946 who was truly excited and
appreciative to be part of our organization. Congratulations Reggie and I am sure that you know your Senate number very well
now!
The US JCI Winter Board meeting coming up next in Kissimmee
on January 22-24. At last count have 13 Senators and spouses travelling to the Sunshine state with some Florida resident NJ
Senators expected to join us as well. Anyone else that would like a break from the cold January weather is welcome to join
us. We hope to gather as a group for dinner on before the hospitality begins on Friday. Also, anyone who is arriving early
is invited to stop by my home in Sanford anytime on Thursday for some food and drink.
The next social event is the Super Bowl party being
hosted by the Sandham's on Super Bowl Sunday, February 7th. Further details to follow so look for emails from NJ JCI Senate
VP Shelby (#25672) or check back at this site. Will one of our area teams still be in a contender?
The January 8th deadline is fast approaching and NJ
JCI Senate Secretary Terry Seeley (#46163) has a panel of Senators lined up to review applications for the US JCI Senate Foundation
Scholarship. If you know of any eligible New Jersey high school seniors please encourage them to apply. Instructions and application
are on the link on this site.
Don't forget the 40th Anniversary Celebration on April
7th.
Both Melanie and I extend our best wishes to our Senators,
Keywomen and friends for a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah and a joyous New Year!
Thanks for the memories (and let's create some new ones!)
